1 woman, 2 men charged after multiple break-ins at homes affected by Hurricane Florence

Three people have been arrested after deputies received reports of several break-ins at homes affected by Hurricane Florence near Kenansville.

Donald R. Page III, and Ashley S. Dawson, both from Pink Hill, were charged with breaking and entering.

Benjamin R. Page was charged with possession of stolen goods, possession of a firearm by a felon, and breaking and entering with larceny.

The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous reports of breaking and entering occurring at homes that were affected by Hurricane Florence along South Dobson Chapel Road near Kenansville.

On November 23, deputies performed a residence check on an address victim to a previous breaking and entering.

During the check, deputies said they caught two suspects breaking and entering.

The suspects were identified as Page and Dawson.

As a result of an investigation, detectives conducted a search on the suspect’s vehicle.

Detectives said they found stolen property in the vehicle.

A search warrant was executed at the address of 104 Goshen Mobile Home Park near Kenansville.

Deputies said they found stolen property and firearms in the residence.

The search warrant led deputies to arrest and charge Benjamin Page.

All of them were sent to the Duplin County Jail.

Benjamin Page was given a $150,000 bond, Donald Page a $107,500 bond and Ashley Dawson a $5,000 bond.

The investigation is still ongoing.
