2 accused of breaking into a residence during Hurricane Florence

Two people have been arrested after breaking into a residence in Richlands during Hurricane Florence.

Pamela L. Tyndall, 40, and Carl J. Thomas Jr., 25, both from Richlands, were charged with one count felony first-degree burglary, one count felony conspiracy, and one count felony trespass during a state of emergency.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cypress Knoll Drive in Richlands in reference to a burglary in progress reported on September 14.

Deputies arrived on the scene and said they found that the suspect(s) had already fled.

An investigation led deputies to identify Tyndall and Thomas as the suspects.

Thomas was sent to the Duplin County Jail on November 13 and Tyndall turned herself in and was arrested on Wednesday. 

Thomas was given a $125,000 bond and Tyndall a $200,000 bond.
