Two men have been arrested and another is wanted after deputies said they were involved in a stolen vehicle incident reported in Onslow County.
Jacob M. Earl was charged with:
- Two counts of theft of a motor vehicle
- Two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle
- Two counts of conspiracy
- Two counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle
The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hac Street in reference to a vehicle that was reported stolen on June 30.
Deputies later located the vehicle in Sneads Ferry.
Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop.
The driver was identified as 18-year-old Mycah D. Lilly.
After a short chase, Lilly stopped but then fled on foot.
An investigation showed that a second vehicle was stolen and Lilly was suspect in that theft as well, deputies said.
Lilly was eventually located at his residence and was arrested on July 6 for both incidents.
The investigation also revealed that Earl participated in the theft.
Earl was arrested on August 10.
Earl was sent to the Onslow County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
Warrants were issued for 19-year-old Navonte D. Hayes who deputies said he was identified as a third suspect.
Hayes is described as a black male with black hair, brown eyes and medium complexion, approximately 5’7 and 145 lbs.
Hayes resides near 2980 Burgaw Highway.
