Two men have been arrested on drug and firearm charges after deputies said they were in possession of a handgun in the parking lot of a business in Greenville.
Timothy Daggs, 20, of Greenville, was charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, injury to personal property and assault with a deadly weapon on law enforcement officers.
Amari Daggs, 22, of Greenville, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit was patrolling the area of Charles Boulevard and 14th Street in Greenville when they said they saw two suspects in possession of a handgun in the parking lot of a business.
Deputies approached them and said that one suspect fled in a vehicle ramming a detective’s vehicle in an attempt to elude arrest.
Deputies said they found a stolen handgun, 13 grams of marijuana that was packaged for resale and drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects were taken into custody at the scene.
Timothy was given a $100,000 bond and Amari was given a $5,000 bond.
