Three people were arrested on drug and firearm charges after deputies conducted a search warrant in a residence located in Nash County.
Kelly Mcneil, 28, and Katie Braswell, 27, were charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor child abuse and failure to store a firearm to protect a minor.
Laquwan Gardner, 29, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine.
The Nash County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division executed a search warrant at 109 Brown Drive in Rocky Mount on Thursday.
The search warrant stemmed from an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics in Rocky Mount.
During the execution of the search warrant, three adults and an 8-year-old child were inside the residence.
The adults were identified as Mcneil, Braswell, and Gardner.
The child was turned over to a family member.
Deputies said they found 15 grams of crack cocaine, five grams of powder cocaine, a loaded highpoint 9mm handgun, a loaded .38 caliber revolver, an AK-47 rifle, two digital scales with cocaine residue on them, $688 in cash, assorted pills, pyrex glass measuring cup with cocaine residue in it and four cell phones.
They were sent to the Nash County Detention Center.
Mcneil and Braswell were given a $25,000 bond.
Mcneil also had an outstanding warrant for probation violation.
Gardner was sent to the Nash County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.
