3 charged in multiple victim shooting in Castalia

Three men have been arrested on murder and firearm charges after a multiple victim shooting reported in Castalia on August 14.

Kent D. Bass, 26, of Rocky Mount, was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Darius T. Solomon, 25, of Rocky Mount, was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of accessory after the fact.

Emilio Green, 29, of Castalia, was charged with one count of robbery with dangerous weapon and one count accessory after the fact.

The Nash County Sheriff’s Office responded to a multiple victim shooting reported near Lancaster Store Road and Pine Street in Castalia on August 14.

Three people were injured during the shooting and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies conducted an investigation that led to identifying the suspects.

On August 23, detectives arrested the suspects. 

Bass was charged with the shooting of Schyler Don Quarrious Williams and Jaquell M. Smith. 

Bass was given a $1,020,000 bond, Solomon a $500,000 bond and Green a $500,000 bond.

They were sent to the Nash County Detention Facility.

The case is still under investigation.
