The Jacksonville-Onslow Council for the Arts is hosting their 40th annual African American Heritage show.
Local artists will showcase both temporary and historical views of African American culture from the artists’ perspective.
Noah White, the executive director, says the community can expect original works from over 20 local artists.
“Whenever we have an opportunity to showcase any group that we can, we try to do that especially when we have African American heritage month that comes up every February, we definitely respect that,” White said.
The show will be this Saturday, Feb 2, from noon to 5 and is free for the public.
