WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – A Beaufort County man already on probation for breaking and entering charges is now facing numerous drug charges.
Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Malcolm Sutton, 22, of Washington on Friday. Deputies say they made the arrest after watching him conduct several drug deals over a span of hours.
Deputies then executed a search warrant on his residence and found cocaine, prescription pills, marijuana and a weapon inside. Sutton is now charged with trafficking cocaine and opiates, as well as possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and marijuana. He was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Sutton was being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center under $125,000 secured bond as of Tuesday morning. Before this arrest Sutton was on probation for breaking and entering charges in Beaufort County. He was also out on bond on marijuana charges in Pitt County from last month.
