City of Havelock: Tucker Creek, MacDonald Downs will experience water outage

The City of Havelock has announced that Tucker Creek and MacDonald Downs will experience an interruption in water service due to the activation of a new water line.

If anything changes before Thursday evening, the information will be posted on their official Facebook Page.

The outage will begin on Thursday at 8:00 PM and will be restored by Friday at 5:00 AM.

Once service is restored, a boil water advisory will be in effect for approximately 24 hours.

During a boil water advisory, the water from the faucet is safe for bathing, but should not be consumed unless boiled.

The plan has been coordinated between DOT, ST Wooten, Craven County Schools, and the City of Havelock.
