One Craven County School held a bully prevention fair this morning before heading home for spring break.
Students at Havelock Middle School attended different sessions on the types of bullying, it’s lasting effects and how to prevent situations.
School Resource Officers and representatives from social services gave presentations at each booth.
School leaders hope to send a message to students that may have less supervision at home over the break.
“Social media is so easy and convenient for our students that they get entrapped with it and they don’t even realize it,” said Assistant Principal at Havelock Middle School, Sherrill Moraven, “We want them to be aware that if you are using your Instagram, using your Snapchat, you’ve got to be positive when you’re talking to your friends. Don’t become negative.”
