Deputies: Animal cruelty charges pending for man after 5 dogs seized from Craven County

The Craven County Sheriff’s Office seized five dogs from a man who is being charged with animal cruelty.

The Craven County Sheriff’s Office responded to 410 Hoyle Farm Road in New Bern in reference to locating a wanted individual on Thursday.

Deputies said that no one was on the scene.

The Craven-Pamlico Animal Services was contacted due to the conditions of five dogs located on the property.

According to deputies, one of the dogs was blind and could not walk.

The owner of the dogs arrived on scene and has surrendered the animals, deputies said.

Deputies said that charges are pending against John Boseman for cruelty to animals.
