WNCT’s Aaron Deane visited a few churches here in the east to check out their Easter celebrations.

It’ Easter Sunday and all over the east churches are celebrating in fellowship and hallelujah praise.

“Easter is a holiday for everyone no matter where you are or where you come from it’s a day where we can all cling to and to know that our …that we are all loved even if we don’t feel loved,” said Josh Lilley College Pastor at Ignite Church

Easter gives him a good feeling.

“This hope gives joy it gives peace and understanding that our current circumstances never compare to the future that awaits us,” said Lilley

Over at Wave Church Greenville, Tom Burby feels the same way about the holiday.

“A time of sharing the good good word.” Said Burby.

Burby told 9 On Your Side that he and his wife have been members of the wave church for more than 3 years and enjoy celebrating the holiday.

But who doesn’t love a good Easter dinner too?

Heading over to the Temple Free Will Baptist Church they like to have fun after service.

“They love it they look forward to it every year,” said Terry Mosley Senior Pastor of the Temple Free Will Baptist Church in Winterville.

It’s an Easter egg hunt for the kid but the fun doesn’t happen until they have a quick quiz.

“Just something for the kids…they have their lesson in church so they know the real meaning of Easter and the Easter egg hunt it like the icing on the cake for them…I usually ask them what Easter is about and they tell me is about the Lord Jesus Christ” said Mosley.
