ECU and the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina compiled more than 62,000lbs. of water, food and household supplies.
Donations will be delivered to 10 counties across the East.
The university has raised $4,000 for recovery efforts
“It’s very important for us to be able to give back to our community that has been with us through 110 years that we’ve been around,” said Assistant Vice Chancellor of East Carolina University Dr. Sharon Paynter.
“East Carolina University is committed to service to engaging to our communities and to do it in a way that lets folks know that we’re here,” said Paynter.
Saturday is the last to drop off supplies.
