ECU students celebrate fall commencement

Local

It was an exciting day for thousands of ECU students who took part in the fall commencement ceremonies at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum Friday morning.

“I’m really excited,” said Connie Archer, a nursing school graduate. “Four and a half years are finally coming to an end.”

More than 2,000 students took part in the ceremony.

Graduates expressed their feelings on what’s next in life and how they’re excited for their next step, with some already having jobs lined up.

Danielle Joyner says she owes it all to ECU.

“This school has taught me a lot,” said Joyner. “I’ve gained a lot of good friendships. It has just molded me into the woman I am today, and I am forever grateful.”

The fun continues with graduation ceremonies for business, engineering, economics and university studies students.
