In Greenville, the 15th annual Jean Mills Health Symposium was held today.
It was at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Event organizers provided free health screenings and information on how to lead a healthier lifestyle.
“This is an event where we try to bring the message of living healthier lifestyles for African Americans in the area,” said Professor & Chairman of the Department of Public Health at ECU, Ronny Bell. We have invited community agencies to come and share information with the people here in the community.”
The event was free through a partnership with East Carolina University and the Greater Greenville Community.
