Greenville Fire/Rescue: Smoking caused fatal house fire

Smoking caused a house fire that killed a woman in Greenville over the weekend, according to Greenville Fire/Rescue. 

The body of 83-year-old Mary Mills was found in the home after the fire was put out Saturday night.

Greenville Fire/Rescue originally responded to the 4000 block of Cornwall Court around 6 p.m. for a medical call, but when they arrived they saw smoke coming from the building.

Crews quickly extinguished a small fire and discovered the body.

Greenville police then arrived to assist fire investigator.

Police said no foul play is suspected.
