GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) Doug Emhoff, the husband of Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, visited Greenville on Tuesday.
Doug Emhoff stressed the importance of voting, calling North Carolina critical in this year’s presidential election.
The husband of Vice-Presidential nominee Kamala Harris traveled to the state for the second time in a couple of weeks.
He spoke to supporters at the “Believe in Greenville” mural Tuesday afternoon sharing stories of nurses, families, and community leaders dealing with COVID-19 around the country.
He also addressed voter mobilization before traveling to the East Carolina University Student Center.
“North Carolina will be a razor-thin election here,” Emhoff said. We know that, but we feel really strong about it because of the message we have of leading on the coronavirus, the economy, healthcare, climate change which I’ve been talking about here. You know full well in North Carolina. That is why we are here. We are getting younger people to come out and vote. If we win North Carolina as I know we will, we’re going to win this election.” Before traveling to Greenville, Emhoff made a campaign stop in Wilmington Tuesday afternoon.
