Jacksonville closing all city buildings after weekend of national violence


JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The City of Jacksonville is closing all public buildings on Monday.

The move is a precaution due to national and regional violence across the country and the state.

City employees are to report to their usual workplace, and should answer phones and emails.

All in-person services will be suspended for Monday.

The action is precautionary.

No specific threat has been identified for the City of Jacksonville.
