Jacksonville hosts public input meeting

The City of Jacksonville hosted a Public Input meeting at City Hall.

The Community Development Division has completed a draft of the 5-year consolidated plan for the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Monday’s public hearing was the last opportunity for the community to give their input on where the funds should go.

This includes homeownership opportunities, public facilities and improvements, and affordable housing construction.

“Any unmet needs our funds will be able to assist those citizens,” Tracy Jackson, Community Engagement Manager, said. “So if you are low and moderate income and you were affected by the hurricane or you just need repairs you may want to come out and tell us that we need to focus more money on residential rehabilitation.”
