A Kinston man faces charges and was hospitalized with minor injuries after a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday that blocked a road in Kinston.
Police say the crash happened at 7:00 a.m. Friday, on Hardee Road near Sedgefield Road.
According to investigators, a 22-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, was driving north when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit a mailbox and a utility pole, causing the car to flip over.
The man was taken to UNC Lenoir Health Care for treatment of minor injuries.
He was charged with driving without insurance, driving a vehicle with unsafe tires, and driving a vehicle left of center.
Officers believe the crash was caused by the driver either falling asleep or not paying attention.
