A Goldsboro man was arrested on drugs and firearm charges in Wayne County Friday, police said.
Jay M. Jackson Jr.,25, was charged with possession of firearm, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, carrying concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Regional Enforcement and Crime Targeting Team said a vehicle was trying to avoid the traffic checking station check in the southern city area of Goldsboro.
Deputies stop the car and found alcoholic drinks on the passenger area.
Deputies asked for the passengers if they had any weapons or other items that could be a threat to law enforcements safety.
After the passengers authorizing a search, the police found a concealed semi-auto handgun, a mason jar containing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The firearm is pending ownership status.
Jackson was given a $40,000 bond.
