Man charged with meth trafficking in Wayne County; gets $1 million bond

A man was arrested Monday on drug charges in Pikeville after an investigation into the illegal distribution of methamphetamine in the Goldsboro/Wayne County area, deputies said.

Joseph W. Blizzard, 42, was charged with four counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and one count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale and delivery of controlled substances.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit along with the Investigations Division assisted with the operation which concluded with Blizzard’s arrest.

The investigation led to a search warrant for Blizzard on 1273 Nahunta Road in Pikeville.

Authorities said they found two ounces of methamphetamine.

Blizzard was sent to the Wayne County Jail and was given a $1,000,000 bond.
