Crews are busy making sure Mother Earth Pavilion at Grainger Stadium will be ready by opening night.
The two-story hospitality structure is nearly complete.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in a couple weeks.
The pavilion features bars and seating on each floor.
“A lot of high-A ballparks and low – ballparks are starting to add new amenities like you see in the higher levels of minor league baseball so this kind of brings Grainger Stadium into the fold,” director of broadcast and media relations Dominic Cotroneo said. “Everybody already loved it as an old time ballpark, but we are adding some of the new amenities and bringing it into the new millennium and 2018 should be a great year.”
They are having a scrimmage against Mount Olive on Monday.
The season opener is April 12.
