The last of five inmates to be captured following their escape from the Nash County Detention Center is now back in Nashville, Sheriff Keith Stone confirmed.

Laquaris Rashad Battle was apprehended in Hardeeville, South Carolina early March 30 during a traffic stop.

He was being held at the Jasper County Jail before his extradition back to Nash County.

Battle and four others broke through a fence and escaped the detention center March 25.

The others were caught within hours but Battle remained on the run.

David Viverette and Raheem Horne were captured at a hotel in Rocky Mount around 11:30 p.m. March 25.

Early March 26, Keonte Murphy and David Ruffin were captured at a home in Farmville.

The sheriff’s office said 140 people from different agencies helped in the manhunt.
