NC Packs 4 Patriots is searching for a new place to call home.
The non-profit’s operation center has been a donated space for more than 12 years.
But now, they are being asked to pay rent.
Director Barbara Whitehead said the organization operates on donations and paying rent would hurt their mission of providing as many care packs for soldiers as possible.
“We have been offered a lease at a discounted rate, but even with a discounted rate, we would have to reduce the number of packages mailed by about 350 packages a year, which really just breaks our heart,” said Whitehead.
Whitehead is asking anyone in the Winterville, Greenville or Ayden area with an empty building or storefront to spare to contact them.
They also would accept donations to cover the 6-thousand yearly rent fee of the building they are in now.
