NEW BERN, NC (WNCT) — Kay Goodwin said that the decision to attend flight school at Craven Community College was one that felt natural when things she had tried before just didn’t seem to work out.

She said her daughter was one of her biggest motivations when it comes to completing the program and becoming a pilot.
“She loves to talk about it. It’s a rewarding feeling because she gets pretty excited about it and I’ve put a lot of work into it,” said Goodwin.
