New drug-sniffing K9 ‘Sig’ joins Martin County Sheriff’s Office

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming a new furry, four-legged officer to its force – K9 Sig!

Martin County Sheriff Tim Manning says K9 Sig is a Labrador Retriever that was bought and trained using drug tax funds.

Sig and his handler, Narcotics Agent Justin Harrell, have received extensive training in drug detection techniques.

The K-9 will be working daily with the Martin County Narcotics Unit.
