NEWPORT, N.C. (WNCT) A mobile home in Newport was destroyed in a fire Monday night.

Newport Fire Department responded to a working fire on Howard Road at approximately 11 p.m.

The home sustained heavy damage and no injuries were reported.

Morehead City Fire-EMS, Broad and Gales Creek FD, Mill Creek FD also responded to the scene.

The fire is under investigation.
