OCS hosts annual job fair amid teacher shortage

Local

Onslow County Schools held their Annual Educator Job Fair at the White Oak High School in Jacksonville.

It was an opportunity for people that are interested in working for the school district to get together with representatives to learn about the job qualifications.

Onslow County Schools are currently seeking teachers, child nutritionists, custodians, bus drivers, and more.

People were able to drop off resumes with principles and school representatives.

“Right now we’ve got over 200 vacancies for next school year that we’re trying to fill, so we’re really looking for those candidates that are going to be good and highly qualified to come in and work for Onslow County Schools,” said Brent Anderson/Chief Communications Officer.

There are also sessions for those interested in finding out how to meet the requirements needed to become an employee for the Onslow County School District.
