It may be a small town. But the town of Seven Springs has a big heart.
“This community is awesome. They always are willing and ready to step up when there’s a need“ said Dana Sutton, Benefit Committee Member
This weekend they are stepping up to help Dana Mull and donna hardy fight breast cancer. They held a fundraiser this weekend at the Seven Spring Volunteer Fire Department. Dana Mull was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of this year and says the support is overwhelming.
“It’s been very very overwhelming in a good way and emotional to see everybody want to give back and help,“ said Dana Mull who’s battling breast cancer
Music, food, and a live auction took place. All funds raised going straight to Dana and Donna’s families to help with medical bills.
Donna couldn’t make it to the fundraiser she’s currently at Duke hospital. Two of her children Justin and Connor came in her place.
“It makes you feel good to see all this gathered and you can really understand and feel the support and visualize it,“ said Justin Hardy, Donna Hardy’s son
“It is just like a big warm hug. It just gives you morale and the morale and boosts that you desperately need“ said Connor Potter, Donna Hardy’s Daughter
As Dana continues treatment and heads into several surgeries this summer and fall…
“I appreciate it more than they know this has always been home they are all family blood or not,“ said Mull
Dana and Donna know through it all, they have the support of their Seven Springs family.
