PCS confirms COVID-19 case at D.H. Conley High School


GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) Pitt County Schools has confirmed a COVID-19 case at D.H. Conley High School.

PCS staff has taken vigorous steps to ensure that the school community remains socially distanced and wears masks to the greatest extent possible, it is unlikely that this person has spread COVID-19.

PCS is working closely with its partners at the Pitt County Health Department.

Contact tracing has been initiated with direct communication to anyone determined to have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Those identified as a close contact are being notified directly and provided with further guidance.

According to PCS: “Further guidance may mean letting them know they need to quarantine OR letting them know there was low risk and there is no need to quarantine. (We work with the Health Department to determine this).
