Pitt County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men and seized more than $1 million worth of heroin during a traffic stop in Greenville on Monday.
Investigators say deputies stopped a vehicle on North Memorial Drive in Greenville on Monday.
Inside the vehicle, deputies found and seized over 4,000 grams of black tar heroin
During the stop Deputies seized over four thousand grams (4 kilograms) of black tar heroin, with a street value of more than $1,000,000.
The vehicle used in the commission of the crime was also seized by investigators.
Two occupants of the vehicle – Oswaldo Kevin Aceves Ovalle, age 21, of Texas, and Daniel Rosman Aceves, age 19, of Texas – were arrested and booked into the Pitt County Detention Center on a bond of $2,000,000 each.
Each suspect was charged with Felony Trafficking Heroin by Possession, Felony Trafficking Heroin by Transportation, Felony Conspiracy to Traffic Heroin by Possession, Felony Conspiracy to Traffic Heroin by Transportation, and Maintaining a Vehicle for the Sale of Heroin.
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office said it will not release any additional information on this case.
