Police investigate multiple vehicle break-ins in Smallwood community

Police are investigating after several vehicle break-ins were reported in the Smallwood community.

The Washington Police Department said that on May 24 around 3:30 a.m., two individuals were seen breaking into vehicles. 

One suspect is a black male, approximately 6’2 and 230-240 lbs.

That suspect was wearing a white tank top, long shorts, light colored sneakers, and has a large tattoo on his left shoulder.  

The suspects are seen leaving in an unknown make and model vehicle, police said.

Police said the break-ins are the result of unlocked motor vehicles.  

Police continue to express the importance of securing personal property and locking motor vehicles to assist in deterring criminal activity.
