Portion of Arlington Boulevard closed for months due to repairs

Construction is underway on one of Greenville’s busiest streets.

A portion of Arlington Boulevard, between Hooker Road and Evans Street, is now closed for months of repairs.

The closure is expected to last until the end of the Summer.

Drivers will be detoured to Hooker Road, Greenville Boulevard, and Evans Street.

Pitt County Schools has warned parents that the road closure will affect school traffic.

“We’re rebuilding the road we’ll rebuild the stormwater you see the utility work behind me some water main work will also be done,” said Kevin Mulligan, Public Works Director of the City of Greenville.

After the portion of Arlington is completed, construction will start between Evans Street and Greenville Boulevard.

The work is scheduled to be finished by Winter of 2019.
