Police investigate shooting that left 1 injured in Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCN) Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured in Rocky Mount.

On Friday around 12:53 p.m., the Rocky Mount Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Cascade Avenue. 

Police said they found a single victim in the parking lot of 514 Cascade Avenue.

Police began life-saving measures until Nash County EMS arrived on the scene.

The victim was transported to Nash Health Care for further treatment.

The case is under investigation.
