A Silver Alert issued for a missing endangered man in Wayne County has been canceled.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing endangered man in Wayne County who may be heading to South Carolina, officials said.
Officials said that 68-year-old Vance Perkins III is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Perkins is described as a black male with gray hair and brown eyes, approximately 5’6 and 130lbs.
He was last seen wearing a black and red plaid shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
Perkins was last seen on 1224 East New Hope Road in Goldsboro.
Officials believe Perkins is driving a pewter 2004 GMC Sierra with a license plate number XPH2528.
The vehicle has a silver toolbox on the back.
He may be heading to South Carolina, officials said.
