Three suspects charged in connection to a Tuesday afternoon shooting are expected in court today.
Greenville Police said it happened around noon in the 1400 block of Hooker Rd.
Police found 23-year-old Ziquam Whitley suffering from a gunshot wound.
He drove himself to Vidant Medical Center.
25-year-old Dartaveris Thigpen is charged with assault with A Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm by Felon. He was placed under a $700,000 secured bond.
18-year-old Tahcore Corey is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. He was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.
Officers say the incident was the result of a dispute over a woman and Whitley was targeted.
The suspects were located inside an apartment along with others, who were detained.
As a result, 28-year-old Joshua Strong wasn’t involved with the shooting but was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver, and Maintaining a Dwelling for the Purpose of Controlled Substances.
