Two bodies have been found in the Northeast Cape Fear River after a boat overturned Thursday afternoon.
According to the Duplin Times, multiple fire departments, including Beulaville and Sarecta, responded to the scene near Hallsville around 3:30 p.m.
After about an hour and a half of searching the river, crews found the bodies of 28-year-old Desmond Ramsey, and 53-year-old Reginald Kilpatrick, both of Dover.
The men were part of a crew that was trimming brush from the river, when their boat began to take on water.
Four other men in the boat were able to swim to safety.
