“Vote Together” is hosting an early voting celebration in the Greenville Town Common Tuesday to celebrate civic engagement.
Vote Together is a nationwide campaign with more than 2,000 voting party events across the country.
It hosted by a nonprofit organization with the stated goal of making polling fun.
These events have popped up all over the East.
Kinston Teens hosted their first Party at the Polls event last week, encouraging people to come out and vote, making it a family affair
Olivia Snarski, director of National State Program of Vote Together, said the events are important for young people and the nation.
“We are party people that believe voting should be fun and joyous and nonpartisan, and so we just bring people out to vote,” Snarski said.
The event is right across the street from the Willis Building polling center.
Vote Together encourages everyone to come out and enjoy but to stop and vote as well.
The event kicked off at 3 p.m. and wraps up at 7 p.m.
