One person is dead following a car accident in Carteret County Friday.
Highway Patrol says a vehicle hit a pedestrian on Highway 24 about 2 1/2 miles Northwest of Morehead City.
The call came in around 6:30pm.
60 year old Clifton Lawrence, of Newport died in the accident.
Highway Patrol says no charges have been filed.
