On Wednesday, deputies used a search warrant at a home on Lefty Road in Kenly. They said they found eleven dogs dead outside and inside the home.

Deputies say they took nine dogs and two iguanas to be treated at the local shelter.

They say the homeowners, Patricia Williams and Jimmy Carroll Williams Jr, abandoned the home and leaving behind all twenty-three animals. They say utilities were cut off on January 19.
