Two men were arrested on Wednesday on several drug charges after a two-month long investigation into heroin and cocaine trafficking in Greenville.
Alterick W. Boyd, 43, of Greenville, was charged with conspiracy to trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to trafficking in heroin.
Michael A. Cartwright, 36, of Greenville, was charged with multiple counts of trafficking in cocaine and heroin, and multiple counts to conspire in trafficking cocaine and heroin.
The Greenville Regional Drug Task Force concluded a two-month long investigation into heroin and cocaine trafficking.
Police along with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on Reedy Branch Road near Grandifloria in Winterville.
Deputies said that during the traffic stop they found two kilograms of heroin, one kilogram of cocaine and $32,840.
During the investigation, detectives said they also found two firearms and three vehicles.
Both were sent to the Pitt County Detention Center.
Boyd was given a $1.5 million bond and Cartwright a $3 million bond.
More charges are expected.
