2 Aurora men, Grantsboro woman charged with heroin possession

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies have charged two Aurora men and a Grantsboro woman with possession of heroin, among other charges.

Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 32-year-old James Albert Bryant, 20-year-old Johnnie Alson Pender Jr., and 22-year-old old Kristen Love Jones on Thursday.

They charged Bryant with three (3) counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, two (2) counts of Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Pender was charged with Possession of Heroin, Carrying a Concealed Gun and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Jones was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Their arrests followed investigators conducting a traffic stop on Bryant. They say Pender and Jones were passengers in Bryant’s vehicle.  A search of the vehicle turned up cocaine, heroin and a 38 revolver pistol hidden underneath Pender’s coat.

Bryant was placed in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.  Pender and Jones were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
