GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- The 2015 Education Summit kicks off at East Carolina University Tuesday.
It is hosted by Pitt County Schools, Pitt Community College, and ECU.
The goal is to show innovative technology, curriculum, and skill development techniques and how they help train those going into the work force.
During the summit, ECU will host a ribbon cutting for its new Innovation Design lab. The Makerbot Innovation Center has more than 30 state-of-the-art 3D scanners and rapid-prototyping machines.
The lab was funded by a $300,000 Duke Energy Foundation grant.
