The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, along with N.C. Adult Probation and Parole and Camp Lejeune’s Naval Criminal Investigative Services, have arrested 27 people and issued several warrants as part of a six-month investigation into narcotics and probation violations.

“Operation 906” was designed to serve outstanding arrest warrants on numerous drug suspects in Onslow County.

The operation involved several joint investigations between the NCIS Special Operations Division and the Drug Enforcement Unit.

Starting early Thursday morning, multiple teams began searching for 38 suspects on a variety of narcotics violations and 12 probation fugitives.

Authorities located and arrested 24 people for narcotics violations and 1 probation absconder.

Two people were located out of state, authorities said.

Authorities said they are still looking for 14 drug suspects and 11 probation fugitives.
