GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Three suspects in a Pitt County murder case appeared in court Tuesday morning.

Joseph Gibbs, Justin Whitley, and Lecarlos Anthony were all arrested on Monday in connection to a double shooting in the Rivercreek neighborhood on Sunday. It’s located near the Beaufort county line.

Deputies arriving at a report of a shooting on Linda Drive found two men that had been shot. 28-year-old Antonio Harris died on the way to Vidant Medical Center while being transported by EMS. 20-year-old Nicholas Gorham was treated and later released from Vidant Medical Center.

Investigators quickly identified three men in the shootings. Gibbs, Whitley, and Anthony were all charged with an open count of murder. They were booked into the Pitt County Detention Center and were held under no bond.

The weapons that were used in the murder of Antonio harris were located. The Sidney Dive Team of Beaufort County found the two guns Tuesday afternoon near the bridge going into Belhaven.

Two neighbors told 9 On Your Side they saw everything happen.

One witness, Stephanie Stainback said, “To see two people gunned down in front of your mother’s house is completely shocking.”

“It’s a horrible feeling to know that every time I walk out over here my first thoughts are the images I saw last night of them being shot and going down,” another witness, Evon Brennan said, adding that she came out of her house Sunday night to find both victims shot.

She says everything started on Saturday night and ended with the fatal shooting on Sunday. A family member told 9 On Your Side the same story.

“The night before, the same ones that they have arrested was out here doing the shooting,” Brennan said. “Now they’re behind bars and maybe if they’d came the night before and could of caught them, maybe these kids would still be alive.”

Brennan and her daughter are fed up with the crime in the neighborhood. Brennan’s daughter has two kids and they both say the area isn’t safe for children.

“It’s going to be impossible to forget cause every time I look at my front door iIm going to see two laying here,” Stainback said.

Family members say the victim has a daughter on the way and everyone is still grieving.

Pitt County deputies say a slew of new charges related to this case will be filed soon.

All men were given a $2 million bond and will be back in court on June 15.Original Story on 5/29/16:
