4 eastern NC counties help former inmates transition back into society

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Onslow, Jones, Pamlico, and Craven Counties will receive contracts from the state to help former inmates transition back into society.

The counties will receive $225,000 each to form re-entry councils.

The councils will be networks of community-based organizations that will work together to offer local housing, employment, and other services to former inmates.
