5 charged after drug bust in Craven County

Five people have been charged with Heroin charges after a search warrant was issued in Craven County.

The sheriffs office searched 106 Porpoise Way in the Gracie Farms community of Craven County.

They found approximately 10 grams of heroin, approximately 30 grams of cocaine, and approximately $3,000.

Otis Burnell Croner Jr, 27, of 106 Porpoise Way in New Bern, NC is charged with Two Counts Felony Trafficking Heroin and Two Counts Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine. His bond is $650,000.00.

Preston Bradley Morris, 23, of 4615 Old Cherry Point Road in New Bern, NC is charged with Felony Possession of Heroin. His bond is $1,000.00.

Tonya Angel Harper, 51, of 4615 Old Cherry Point Road in New Bern, NC is charged with Felony Possession of Heroin. Her bond is $500.00.

Jason Lee Carmichael, 42, of 326 McCotter Blvd. Apartment 42 in Havelock, NC is charged with Felony Possession of Heroin. His bond is $1,500.00.

Eric Vincent Tornes, 41, of 205 Taylor Road in Havelock, NC is charged with Felony Possession of Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond is $1,500.00.

Sheriff Hughes said “We will aggressively go after those who sell this poison in our communities; I’d like to thank the citizens of Craven County for reporting drug activity in their communities.”
