Every Tuesday at 5 p.m. Anchor Angie Quezada will profile a different child looking for a family to call their own:
Meet 11 year old Christopher. He’s shy at first, but you can’t help but to love his smile. Christopher loves the outdoors, sports, and staying active. He’s a huge basketball fan, and enjoys watching his favorite NBA play Stephen Curry hoop it up.
Christopher says one word to describe himself is, “Happy.”
Karma Best has been working with Christopher for almost three years now.
She says, “He’s very helpful, very sweet little boy, he loves to dance, he knows how to whip and to nay-nay, he can do all that stuff.”
Christopher has been very vocal to Best on what he wants in his forever family.
“He wants a two parent family, he wants other children in the home, and he said he wants a dog. He does well in two parent families, he’s been placed with an African American couple, and a Caucasian couple before. But he works well with couples, he does well even if there’s other children in the home. He loves animals,” Best says.
Christopher enjoys school and says his favorite subject is Math.
Christopher’s loving home must be supportive of his relationship with his two older sisters.
Best says, “He has two siblings, and we need a family that will be supportive of visits, They have visits every month.”
Family is very important to him. Christopher needs a family who is nurturing, consistent, and patient. The family needs to be able to set clear boundaries and encourage his relationship with his other siblings.
