MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) – The crew of Ashley Lauren still leads the field at the 58th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament.
There were not any marlins weighed on Thursday as only 62 of the eligible 174 boats chose to hit the waters.
Boats may fish four of the six days of the tournament.
Ashley Lauren, out of Clayton, hauled in a blue marlin of 621.4 pounds on Tuesday to take the lead. The catch is worth $662,995 if it can hold the tournament lead two more days.
Scales close at 6 o’clock on Saturday.
